Why Your Daily Routine Matters

Life's challenges can often feel overwhelming, leaving us weary and uncertain. But in the midst of it all, we are reminded of an unshakable truth in I Chronicles 16:11: "Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually."

This verse encourages us to pursue a daily connection with God, not just during times of need but as a constant practice. By seeking His strength and guidance every day, we draw closer to His heart and align our lives with His divine will.

Why a Daily Routine with God Matters

God never intended for us to navigate life’s trials and triumphs in our own strength. When we dedicate time to Him each day, we:

1. Find Strength for the Day

God’s strength is inexhaustible. Isaiah 40:31 - "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Starting each day with Him equips us with the endurance and energy needed to face whatever comes our way.

2. Gain Peace in His Presence

Life's storms may rage, but God’s presence offers peace.

Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God."

When we take time to seek Him, we find the calm assurance that He is in control.

3. Deepen Our Relationship with Him

Like any meaningful relationship, our connection with God flourishes through consistent time together. He desires to reveal His plans for us, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11-13: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Building a Daily Routine with God

Here are simple yet effective steps to establish a daily time with God:

1. Start with Prayer

Begin your day in conversation with God. Share your heart, and invite His guidance into every area of your life.

2. Meditate on Scripture

Spend time reading and reflecting on His Word. Let His promises, such as I Chronicles 16:11, guide your thoughts and decisions.

3. Worship and Gratitude

Thank Him for His blessings, and celebrate His goodness. Worship aligns our hearts with His greatness.

4. End Your Day with Reflection

Before ending your day, review how you experienced God’s presence. Reflect on His faithfulness and renew your trust for tomorrow. (with time, you may begin to notice that your sleep is better because, you're focusing more on God and less on things that very well cause negativity overnight; leaving you feeling exhausted in the morning, instead of refreshed. Have you ever considered the connection between what you focus on before going to sleep at night and how well you sleep? I strongly encourage you to shift your nightly routine to more time with God, and over time, see how your sleep improves.

A Call to Action
