The Happiness Coach Lyn Bailey
Nov 07, 2025Hi, I’m Lyn Bailey — Happiness Coach, mother of four, mindfulness mentor, and your biggest cheerleader in creating a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
I help women over 40 who feel invisible, exhausted, or stuck in the same old patterns rediscover their purpose and power. If you’re ready to rewrite the next chapter of your life with joy, gratitude, and meaning, you’re in the right place.
For decades, I poured myself into supporting others. As a midwife of 50 years and a busy mother of 4, I was constantly giving. I wore burnout like a badge of honor, always doing more, helping more, being more.
But deep down, I was running on empty. I lost sight of my own worth, my dreams, and my joy.
Everything changed when I discovered the power of small daily shifts — practicing gratitude, living in the now, and putting myself back on my own priority list. These tiny habits transformed my life.
Today, I teach other women how to do the same. This is my ideal retirement plan! Being an entrepreneur on my terms!
The hardest BS I had to overcome was my own self belief that I wasn’t good enough!
I almost gave up after my 34 year marriage ended. I didn’t believe I could make it on my own. Here I am, 20 years later, living my dream life and retirement, on my terms, What pulled me through? A 5 day personal development retreat that made me realise I am not my past, I am not my future, I am me, NOW, in full control of this very moment, free to choose how I feel right now!
How do I stay focused:?
I have a 3 step rule - Plan, Prioritize, Produce.
I run regular coworking sessions for other entrepreneurs, worldwide, where we are accountability buddies for each other.
I learn 1 new thing every day.
The most game changing lesson I have learned is to change my definition of “normal”. I used to have a catch phrase (excuse), When my life gets back to normal I will ….’ Then, one day, I asked myself what my definition of ‘normal’ was. I then realized it was based on a time when I was married, with 4 dependent children, working as a midwife for a wage. I realized that would never, ever be my normal again. I am single, all my children have flown the coup, and I am no longer earning a regular wage as a midwife. Once I changed my definition of ‘normal’ to - ‘I am a fit, healthy, happy, single woman, living my life to the fullest every day’, my life and level of joy and happiness changed immediately. That’s me today at 77 years young!
My advice - Time is your greatest asset. Lose all your money, you can make it back again. Lose 1 minute of your tie, it is gone forever! This is the reason I nlive every day to the fullest.
I’m proudest of the women I see you step into their new life with love and confidence, after they have worked with me.
Book I recommend - “The Let Them Theory” by Mel Robbins
My daily ritual-wake between 4-5am, make my first (of many) long, black coffee. Then I do a 5 minute gratitude meditation. Now my coffee is cool enough for me to take my first sip. Then check my phone, email, for any messages from my children. Then me time for 1 hour-read, do puzzles, watch news. 6.30 often sees my first coaching call for the day, or a walk by the ocean to watch the sunrise, then breakfast, work for 2 hours, free time, lunch, then afternoon either time batch, or fun. 1 hour each day for coworking, this week it is 4-5pm, AEDT. This changes weekly depending on my other commitments. Then dinner, family or free time, meditation, bed.
Pre-covid, most of my work was face to face. Post-covid ,it has become virtual, with minimal social media until recently. I’m just starting to realize how beneficial it is to my business. Now I use it to become involved in communities, chats, my own women’s group. I still have a lot to learn about it. I know i have to be strategic with the time In spend on it.
What drives me nuts on social media?
When people become friends or follow me, then immediately DM me with a sales pitch as their first contact with me.
The one truth for all entrepreneurs-the importance of connection!
What’s next?
I’m about to run a free 3 day Fresh Start Challenge, then one of my 2026 goals is to run a free challenge every month to help others live the life of their dreams now.
Success has taught me the real value of discipline, consistency, visibility and connection, not only in my own life but also in the online scene.
